Yoshinoya (株式会社よしのや)
Yoshinoya is a brewery in Nishinomon-cho, Nagano City, next to the Zenkoji Daihongan temple, making the sake Nishinomon along with miso, amazake and plum wine. It was founded in 1637. KIKI lists one of its bottles.
What kind of brewery is Yoshinoya?
Fujii Toemon Masakane followed the head priest who brought the Zenkoji principal image back from Kyoto and settled at Zenkoji. In 1637 his son, the second generation Masanaga, started sake brewing. Since then the family has made sake and miso in Nishinomon-cho beside the Zenkoji Daihongan, known as the sake of Zenkoji.
