What kind of brewery is it?
Taiyo Shuzo is in Iino, Murakami, Niigata. It is described as formed in 1945 (Showa 20) when several Murakami breweries merged under wartime consolidation, with one of the parent breweries reaching back to 1635. Its first label was Koshi no Tama; five years later it became Taiyozakari, a name chosen by public call. It brews with subterranean water of the Miomote River, sourced in the Asahi range. The on-site exhibition hall Nagomi-gura shows brewing tools and Murakami's brewing history, with paid tastings and sales.
