Senkin Holdings (泉金ホールディングス株式会社)

Senkin Holdings is a sake brewery in Iwaizumi, Iwate Prefecture, producing sake under the Ryusen Yaezakura brand. It was founded in 1854.

What kind of brewery is Senkin Holdings?

The brewery traces its start to 1854, when Kitaro, the fifth generation of the Yaegashi family, first tried pressing sake. After a great fire damaged Iwaizumi in 1883, the sixth-generation Kinjuro rebuilt the brewery and residence on the present site, and the original beams and posts still stand. In 1890 the sake was first sold under the Yaezakura name. Kinjuro also worked in forestry and sericulture to support the local community.
