What kind of brewery is it?

In the Edo period the family served as head village headman over the Ito-Shima area, and sake brewed from surplus tax rice was offered to guests. The brewery was founded in 1870. The first-generation Shinkuro Hamachi loved the performing arts and built a stage of cedar, which gave rise to the name Suginoya. In the summer of 1996 it obtained the first beer brewing license in Fukuoka Prefecture and began making beer.

What makes it distinct

Water
The brewing draws on clear water from the Sefuri mountains.
