History
The brewery was founded in the late Taisho era under the name Seiju. Around the wartime consolidation and postwar recovery it became Fukuchiyo, a name that wishes for lasting prosperity. Naoki Iimori became the third-generation head in 1987 and began developing a new brand with young local sake retailers, aiming for a regional sake that represents Saga and Kyushu. Nabeshima was born from this in 1998. Iimori is both owner and toji and takes part in brewing himself. In 2021 the brewery opened Oyado Fukuchiyo, an inn taking one group per night.
