Our sake & shochu label scanner arrives in December 2026

KIKI is an app that tells you what a sake, shochu or awamori is when you point your phone at its label. It comes out in early December 2026, on iPhone and Android at the same time.

What it does

In front of a shop shelf, over an izakaya menu, or with a bottle someone gave you: if you wonder what it is, just point the camera at the label.

• Name and brewery: it reads brush-lettered labels too, so you don't need to read Japanese.
• Taste and ratings: sweet or dry, light or rich, and how people rate it.
• Prices and value: shop prices checked every day and compared per 720 ml.
• Food matches: see which foods go with each bottle.
• Stamp book: collect stamps for regions, breweries and styles.
