What kind of brewery is it?

History

The family first traded oil under the name Aburaya Chobei and is said to have begun brewing in the late 1600s. The brewery dates its founding to 1719 from an old document recording trade in sake tools. In 1998 the twelfth generation released Kazenomori, an unfiltered, undiluted namazake made with Akitsuho rice grown near Kazenomori pass. The thirteenth generation, Chobei Yamamoto, took the name in the 300th anniversary year, 2019. Besides the Gose brewery it runs the Kyoho brewery, the Katsuragi foothills brewery and the Yamato distillery, and about 90 percent of its sake is namazake.
