History
The brewery was founded in 1720 when Yoshidaya Takichi began brewing in Kanayama, a prosperous post town. It became Takagi Shuzo in 1952, obtained a vodka licence in 1959 and began exporting to Singapore in 1981. It marked its 300th anniversary in 2020.
