Nadagiku Shuzo is a sake brewery in Tezuka, Himeji, Hyogo, brewing since 1910 in small batches. It also runs brewery tours, a shop at the brewery and restaurants.
What kind of brewery is Nadagiku Shuzo?
The brewery was founded in 1910 by the first-generation Kawaishi, who became independent from the family business and began brewing sake at the present site in Tezuka, Himeji. In the 1960s the second generation expanded output and built a reinforced-concrete, three-season brewing building. In 1994 it shifted from mass production to small-lot brewing with 500 kg batches. Since 2004 Kawaishi Misa has led production as toji. Brewery tours and the shop began in 1993, and the company also runs restaurants.
