What kind of brewery is it?

The brewery was founded in 1917 at Minakuchi-juku on the old Tokaido road, and its trade name Mifuku carries a wish for lasting prosperity. The roadside building from the early Showa era still serves as a shop and cafe. After the war it brewed mainly with Shiga rice for local drinkers, and in the 1990s it deepened its commitment to local rice and yeast. The junmai series Sanrensei comes in red, white and black labels, and the cafe Kagura opened in part of the brewery in September 2021.

What makes it distinct

Style
Its three pillars are yamahai brewing, ginjo brewing and junmai brewing.
Ingredients
Sanrensei uses 100% Shiga-grown sake rice, including Ginfubuki and Shiga Watarifune No. 6.
