Kosaka Shuzojo is located in the center of Mino City in Gifu Prefecture and has run a sake brewery since the Edo period. It is said to have received its sake brewing license from the Owari-Tokugawa clan, and the brewery building, which keeps the look of an Edo-period sake brewery, is said to date from 1772. The current owner is the 12th generation, and the brewery keeps to traditional methods while passing on the history of the brewery and of Mino's townscape.
