What kind of distillery is it?

History

Ichisuke Komasa founded the company in Hioki in 1883. It began by brewing sake for the local Hioki Hachiman Shrine and later widened into shochu, liqueurs, spirits and whisky. Its main production site is the Hioki Distillery, which offers free tours and tastings. In 2017 the Kanosuke Distillery, making whisky among other things, opened on the coast in the same city, and became a separate company in 2021.

Visiting
