History

The brewery was founded in 1853 in Kiyosu, a town known for Kiyosu Castle and its link to Oda Nobunaga. It was incorporated in 1949. Its flagship Kiyosujo Nobunaga Onikoroshi launched in 1984 and aims for a satisfying, easy-drinking taste made with steamed-rice brewing. It uses water from the Kiso River system and only domestic rice, including Yamadanishiki. It also makes the junmai daiginjo Shoho and the Aichi Craft Kiyosu whisky, gin and vodka.
