Founded before 1505 in Itami by Inaderaya, the brand passed through five families until the Shirakashi family took over in 1928 and relocated to Nada for Miyamizu water. Overcoming wartime suspension and the 1995 earthquake, it continues to preserve traditional methods, even handcrafting its own brewing tools.
