What kind of brewery is it?
Ishikawa Brewery's history is recorded from 1863, when the 13th head of the family began brewing sake in a storehouse of the Morita brewery in Ogawa village, across the Tama River. The first brand was Yaezakura, renamed Yaeume in 1919 and Tamajiman from 1933. A brewery building was erected in Kumagawa, Fussa, in 1880. From 1887 the company made German-style lager under the name Nihon Mugi, but sold the equipment in 1890 because bottling was unreliable without crown caps. Beer brewing resumed in 1998 as Tamanomegumi.
