Founded in 1872 (Meiji 5), the company has more than 150 years of history and makes shochu, whisky, wine and liqueurs. It runs shochu plants in Kagoshima, Tsunuki, Kobayashi, Chiran and Yakushima, and the Kagoshima plant's head toji is introduced as Imakama Yoshihiro.
