What kind of brewery is it?
The Hazama family moved to Nakatsugawa in 1601 and began brewing in the mid-Edo period, continuing for over 200 years. In the Edo era they served as purveyors to the Owari Tokugawa family. A sake gallery was added beside the brewery in 1995, and a capital and business tie-up with a commercial liquor distributor followed in 2014. After the brewing facilities were renovated in 2015, brewing resumed under a new structure in January 2016, and the brewery was reborn making only junmai sake.
