What kind of brewery is it?
The brewery was founded in Hakodate in December 2021, the first new brewery in the city in 54 years. It obtained its production license and began brewing in October 2024 as the 15th brewery in Hokkaido. A toji has led brewing since October 2024 as its first toji. A Hakodate College of Technology brewing lab sits inside the brewery for student research, training and by-product product development. The Goryo name comes from Goryokaku and the lost Meiji-era Hakodate sake Goryo Masamune.
