What kind of brewery is it?
Iwamura Brewery traces its founding to 1787 and was established as a company in October 1921. The brewery sits in Iwamura town, a castle town built around a castle first raised in the Kamakura period. In the Sengoku period a woman who was an aunt of Oda Nobunaga is said to have ruled the town as its castle lord. Onna Joshu was created to honour that story in the 800th year since the castle was built, and its label shows her portrait. Enanohomare has been the brewery's brand since its founding, and the brewery keeps refining how it expresses sweetness.
