What kind of distillery is it?

History

The company began in 1996, when a founder from Uken village, hoping to revive his hometown, took over a small distillery that was for sale. It drew on the abundant water at the foot of Mount Yuwan and started as the smallest and newest of the 25 distilleries on Amami. Its flagship brown sugar shochu, Lento, is also known for acoustic aging. The factory can be toured, and a showroom offers tastings.
